Property Eligibility
USDA loans are for families purchasing property in communities with lower population density, generally those with a population of 10,000 or less. Many areas of the country are eligible, including the suburbs and municipalities that are within a reasonable commute to urban social and economic centers.

When you select the state, you have the option to then click on a county:
Once you are within the county, you can navigate within the map to explore the eligible areas. In this example, the designated rural areas of Douglas and Elbert Counties in Colorado are show. There are a number of housing options within a practical commute to the Denver metropolitan area.
